The End Of A Five Years Relationship

I LOVE BAND. it's been my passion for the past five years, and will always remain my passion for the next upcoming years. oh my gosh. i sound totally like a band geek, but i don't care. for five years being in band, i've always denied the fact that i'm a band geek. (: i have the courage to admit it now. (: i'm a band geek. lalala~ :D

so much had happened within the five years. we laugh, we cry, we run.. we practice, we play, we perform.. (: those are one of the best memories i've ever had in my life. i know i'm a forgetful person, that's why i'm writing all these down. so that i will always make sure all these will never vanish from my silly brain. (though i doubt i'll forget even if i didn't write this down. xD)

(: i want to thank a lot of people. (: let's start with Sheryl. (: friend, you're always with me. be it in class, lab, everywhere in school, and of course, band too. ^^ thanks for being there together with me. i didn't feel lonely at all, because there is always a certain flutist walking this journey together with a  certain percussionist. ^^ band was a lot funner with you around. I LOVE YOU. (:

Kamini and Amelia. (: greatest president and vice ever. ^^ band went really far under you guys' leadership. you guys were great. i am very proud working under the both of you. I LOVE YOU GUYS. (:

my beloved PERCUSSION SECTION..!! :D joining this section is one of the best/right choice i've made in my entire life. i had so much fun here. i love all my friends in this crazy section. i love the way you people joke and play around, the way you guys went all the way and performed the best for all the functions, the way we rock the band room with all the percussion instruments, and erm.., the way you guys start turning horny and start to grab other people's butt.. D: crazy, crazy, but this is what i love about in this section. we're always so happy-go-lucky and 'free'. (: let's see, we have Amelia the best section leader, we have Hannan the lame joker, Ganga the girl with duo personality, Anna the Einstein version mallet player, Amalina the girl with 'smart' questions, Priyankka the cool, and Nas the gedik. (: owh, I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH. (: we've walked through the crazy five years together. ^^ we also have Sherwin the all time conductor, Shivaani the blur, Kim Fong the kawaii chibi, Kavillashini the one that's always scared of Amelia, and Amirah which i'm not very close to. (: I LOVE YOU GUYS. (: to the recruits/juniors, i don't really know you guys. it's sad that we don't have much time together. ): all the best and I LOVE YOU GUYS TOO. (:

Lock See, Aisyah and Josephine, I LOVE YOU GUYS VERY MUCH TOO! :D although we're in different sections, your playing did made an impact in me. (: i'll still be seeing dear Lock See, since we have cosplay plans together.. xD my darling Aisyah, i know i won't be able to forget you and your smile.. (: Josephine.. hmm, when i see food i'll see you. xD

so. that's the end of this long journey. (: i'm happy i've completed it, but somehow, a huge part of me feels very empty. ): it's like, as if someone took a handful of my passion away. ): but all things have to come to end right..? ): i hate myself for not being able to take farewells. TT

ps - to those who made the wonderful video, cupcakes, gifts and all, I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH. (: and to Kim Fong, Kavillashini, Teresa, Margarat, Aisyah Safri, Tharshiny, Anna and Prianka who signed on the cardboard thingi, thank you so much. (: i really love it and it's already on display in my house. ^^ and to other juniors, thanks too. (: and Shivaani, thanks too. (: Kamini, thanks for your lovely letter. i love reading it. ^^

and to my pair of beloved drumsticks which i've used and loved for five years since the day my foot stepped into the band room, I LOVE YOU, Pierre and Parrie.

All Good Things Will Eventually Come To An End.

true enough, FIVE years have passed through so fast, without me realising it. for band, i've laughed and cried so much. i've sacrificed so many things and my time. and now, when it's time to put an end, i feel i am not ready. for five years i have been reserving at least two days a week before/after/during school for band practices. and now i'll be breaking that weekly routine. ): hmmm. i'll need some time to get used to it. 

i remembered very well that the first time i performed, it was on 2006 Sports Day. i was a snare drummer back then. (: i was so scared of the crowd, but well, our performances were great. :D and then for concert functions, the bells was practically mine. for every single concert function in that year i'll be playing bells. ^^ and then more performances came in, band concert, band competition, jubilee concert, and all. too many to name. for every function i performed, i feel proud and happy and grateful. ^^ all filled with memories. (:

and today was i my ever so last performance [Pn Hong - principal of SMK Assunta's retirement]. i always thought i'll never play the drumset for real in my life (as in performance wise, not Wii wise.. xD), but today i sat on the drumset chair and my hands went flying everywhere hitting on the drum skins. i don't know how good or horrible it was, but it was satisfying enough for me. (: i am very proud to say that i've played every single marching instruments, be it snare, bass, cymbals, toms or bells. :D yay. and and and, 99% of concert instruments too. :D there's some percussion-two instruments that i've not played on any event before. xD as for other instruments, hahahahaha.. :D :D :D i feel happy. as if i've completed my course/syllabus. (: i can leave with no regrets. (except that we practiced Pirates of the Caribbean, but i've not performed with that song for even once.. TT)

it's sad that i know i'll never be holding a pair of sticks, hitting on the drums, crashing the cymbals, tuning the timpani, playing the mallet instruments and rock the bandroom with the percussion-two instruments. ): but i have to say this, i feel proud standing as a form five band member. (:

i love you, band. call me a band freak or whatever, i don't care.

wow. so many years have passed. i remember the first time i met you was during Standard 3. that time you were closer to Sarah. then somehow we ended up sitting together in Standard 5 right..? then Standard 6 also we sat together, but then Cik Zainab switched our places.. (: hmm. then it was Form 3 when we sat together again. ^^ how nostalgic.. those were the days.. then in Form 4 i sat behind you and now in Form 5 you're sitting behind me.. :D

you know, i'm really grateful having you as a friend.. you're like, always helping me and all.. (: life would be different without your presence. (: and i'm very glad to have met you. ^^ what have i done in the previous life till God is willing to send such a nice friend and allowing me to keep her by my side.., sometimes i do wonder.. :D

therefore Li Lian, i wish you a really really happy birthday. :D
